Update on this in case anyone reads the thread. I looked at the six cameras that were on the premium account. There’s no VZWb on the account that I could see so maybe it’s running auto.
One of the four doesn’t have the most current firmware and it doesn’t have the time zone set. The latest firmware fixed some connection issues. I’m not sure if it’s the outdated firmware or the time zone not being set that’s causing the problems. The camera hasn’t contacted the server since Saturday night.
The second of the four worked fine at home but didn’t send any pics from the field. I was told that the camera wouldn’t go online in the field so he turned it on and left it. Signal problems are probably the cause of the lack of contact there.
On two other cameras, which were sending pics fine, all the pictures had the same file name, PICT000-101-0. The two cameras sent the thumbnails but the photos aren’t being written to the SD card. Not sure whether it’s simply that the SD cards weren’t formatted in the camera or whether they aren’t class 10 cards. They are the proper capacity.
Five of the six cameras are not running the latest firmware.
I think when all the little problems are sorted, the cameras should work fine. I know how tough it is to keep all the FW current, get the SD cards “just so”, and get all the settings right, and also how frustrating it is when things aren’t working properly.
